CAMAM President and CEO Francis Ikome represented the Chamber at the 2014 Spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.

The Spring Meetings offered a unique opportunity to discuss international development trends with a selected group of invited organizations, government delegates, and leaders of the private sector and academic world.

As illustrated by World Bank officials, Cameroon still remains among select slow-growing economies in Sub-Saharan African, so the role of the private sector stands as crucial for the development of the country.

Ikome initiated a series of constructive dialogues with Cameroonian public officials and other key stakeholders to leverage the role of the Cameroonian diaspora in the United States as a guiding force for private sector development in Cameroon.
